Cool deal they have going on! Donut happy hour is from 3pm-6pm everyday. You get a 2 free medium coffees with a purchase of a dozen of donuts. Great place for a after school snack with the kids.

It’s back! The real deal is back in business and they are the donuts we know and love. These are the best donuts on the east coast. Stood in line for 45 minutes on the grand reopening and it was well worth it. Going to be like that for a while. Be patient with them as they work out forecasting and planning for day-to-day operations.

Delicious donuts. Just be VERY specific with your order, or else you'll get donuts that you didn't order.

Thank goodness there has been a new transition of owner ship and employees. Whenever I have went in my 30 years of living in Severna Park, I never had a pleasant experience. The older lady who worked the counter was constantly rushing me and rude. The donuts were not that great either very dry and bland. Now I’ve visited a couple times with the new owners. The donuts have been extremely moist and tasted great. Everything looks how it used to but is so much better now. The young lady behind the counter greeted me promptly as I came in and told me to take my time while choosing. Donut shack just gained a customer! Thank you!!!

Impressive selection of fresh, classic donuts. Prompt service, but cash only. Carry out or dine in at their diner bar with stools.

I have to be honest... I've been visiting this place for more than 30 years. I've only visited once since new ownership. Seemed the same so far, but five stars is based on the past. If things change, I'll update. Solid donuts and service. Not crazy gourmet donuts, but much better than DD and such. Nice place to meet a friend for coffee and donuts.

I live about 45 minutes away and would buy donuts from no other place. Donuts are fresh and don't weigh you down after eating them. The most impressive thing was how fresh they were a day later. Not hard!

Love the Donut Shack!! I come here each morning and get coffee and a donut. I’m always greeted by the young lady in the front. Service is fast. It is traumatizing what those new owners have had to go through!! Everyone be kind. The donuts are good and everything looks the same to me... so let’s be decent human beings and accept new people into the community

I was a huge fan of donut shack when I lived in severna park and drove all the way from Pasadena to try out the new donut shack. They're already out of donuts at 10:00 a.m. and said their hours are from 6:00 a.m. until they run out of donuts and they're closed so they're effectively open for 4 hours. What a joke, it's no longer 24 hours.

Wow! Thier donuts tastes like homemade and they are really good. My favorite is old fashion, it crispy on the outside and not sweet so I can dip it in my coffee. Totally recommended this place to anyone!!

Whenever drive up to Severna Park from downtown Annapolis I always stop at the shack. Each time I try to get something different because there’s so many flavors. I can’t stay away from the chocolate and vanilla cream donuts. They’re delicious. Love this place.

This place used to be amazing. The Doughnuts used to be godlike, now they just taste like cardboard. Dont waste your money and go back to relive it's old greatness and wish the old owners were back.Edit: Just came back to the reviews to see that there are multiple accounts that rated it 5 stars and have only 1 review ever. I think they are boosting there review score. Beware...

This place used to be the best in town. I look forward to visiting every time I come back to Maryland. But now we’ve stopped by twice in the past week and it’s been closed after 7:30pm. Change your hours and your sign if you have a closing time. We’ve heard rumors from friends and family about the new owners and staff but decided to make that call ourselves. Too bad it hasn’t been open for us to make up our minds despite their 24/7 claim.Edit: In response to the owner— that’s understandable, but when I was there the lights were on, there were donuts in the racks and the doors were locked. It would be helpful to maybe post a sign on the door with your holiday hours.

I have been going to Donut Shack for years, they HAD the best donuts. I think the last time I actually ate a good donut from there was 2017. I had no idea Bill & Stacey sold the place to new owners until I tried a donut recently. Absolute garbage. The dough was dense and stale and the icing was hard. I cannot believe that my favorite donut shop has turned into this. Truly disappointed.

We have been customers for many years and just stopped by yesterday for the first time since new ownership. NEVER again! There is no comparison to when Bill owned the donut shack. The donuts were the worst ever! We used to absolutely love all of the donuts especially the Boston cream. Yesterday when we got a Boston cream it tasted like chemicals. Stay away! Sift through the reviews because it’s very obvious the 5 star reviews must be fake. This place is beyond disgusting

UPDATE: After a long, anticipated wait Donut Shack has reopened under new management with the goal of keeping the old recipes from previous ownership and friendly service. Opening at 6 am, there was already people waiting outside and the wait did not disappoint! Strawberry glaze, fudgies were fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and upbeat! The community is so glad to have you guys back! We will return happily from now on!

Donuts may not be as consistent (size/appearance) as under thr original owners, but the taste and variety is back. Chocolate creme is still amazing, coffee good, and accepting credit cards is nice.

The best hand made donuts. You won’t find anything that tastes more delicious than a donut shack donut. I recommend trying a sour cream donut or a traditional Boston cream. They’re awesome!

Wonderful owners! The donut shack is still the same hand cut donut shop. And they are delicious. I actually was able to see the baker himself cutting the dough it was such a sight to see!! Best donuts I’ve had in my life.

Under new management, they support the military active and non active members. Been 3 times recently and every time they gave me a discount. Donuts were tasty. Thank you !

A cute 24 hour donut shop. Lots of seating. Place is clean and bright. A lot of choices in donuts and other pastries. Fast and friendly service. This is a staple in the community. Donuts are mouth watering and tasty.

Revisited today and I agree the "Shack is Back". Glad to see the New-New Owners are holding up to the Originals Legacy. They now accept credit cards which is a huge bonus as well. I am knocking off one star due to a few small problems with the donuts. Our creme filled donuts were half empty and the cake donuts were hard as rocks. The flavor was just like the original so once they get a few of the kinks worked out with quality control I think they will be a huge success.

I have been coming here since I moved in the area around 5 years ago. The donuts are still being continued to be made homemade and fresh. The seating area is clean. When I came in I saw that they now are accepting credit cards. Great. I definitely will continue to go to Donut Shack. Support small business!

I have been a loyal customer to donut shack for a few years now and will continue to be. The quality has not decreased it actually tastes even better! The place had such a better vibe now.

The donuts are good but advertise they are open 24 hours and they are not. Went there Friday and the store doesn't open until 630am and close when they run out. That is not 24 hours.

Best donuts around, excellent prices. Huge selection, open 24×7. Best times to shop early Saturday or early Sunday mornings. Yeast risen donuts; creative fillings and toppings. Has been in business over 35 years...the same business. They are that good!

I grew up with Donut Shack. To me, there is no better place for donuts in the Severna Park-Pasadena area. When the original owners sold the shop to new people, it went to hell in a heartbeat and I said I would never go back unless the place was sold again to new owners who would bring it back to the way it was. The new owners and her staff have done a really good job since they opened in February. It will never be the same as the original, but the donuts are now way better and the people working behind the counter are just as friendly as before. I hope it stays this way!

My favorite donut/pastry shop. They have the best cinnamon buns that you can’t find anywhere else handmade. There’s a huge selection of donuts but I go for the chocolate frosted.

The best donut place around. I’ve came here since I was a child. The decor puts me in a different time zone that I remember. The coffee is fresh. Favorite donut is the sour cream.

The coconut donut is my favorite! They have 6 different flavors with coconut they’re amazing too. Pleasant experience with the cashier and the ambience was nice and clean.

Went to this place for the first time today. Im not big about donuts but we had a big family gathering and they seemed to be a good option for our event. I contacted the place beforehand to make sure they could take the order and the owner was very helpful. He helped me figure out the size of order based on our guest count and made sure we had a good variety of donuts. He did also mention that they now accept credit cards so it was much more convenient. Upon arrival the staff seemed very nice and the order was ready. I did not try all the flavors that we had ordered but the chocolate donuts were super tasty and the guest seemed to really like the cream filled donuts. Overall I am very pleased with their food and service.

Great local small donut shop with excellent variety great taste great price

The lemon donut is sour and sweet. The lemon is sour but not overwhelming. The sugar on the outside on of the donut makes it more sweet. Always have had the best flavors!!

Stopped by here for dessert after getting dinner at the restaurant next door. Cashier was nice and my little ones and I enjoyed the donuts. Would definitely come again.

Been eating donuts with this place since the 80s but haven’t been in about six months. The last time I was in the donuts had little filling and seemed stale. So I hear that it’s under new management and I go check it out. So I walked in around 2am and there were none of my favs, so I asked the young lady behind the counter to make some for me. She happily went in the back and made me a couple of overstuffed donuts. They tasted way better then the ones I bought six months ago. Donut was very fresh and the filling was great. I’ve gone back since and got the same service and quality of food, so I’ll be going back. I think some reviewers on here are upset about the fact that the new owner and his employees aren’t white. Well get over it, the product has greatly improved, so enjoy.

UPDATE 2/11/20 the new owner is Ali. Still not open. Claiming to have a significantly better product than the previous owners but have not yet opened? This all seems to just be public advertising. Can we just focus on the donuts and see how the donuts taste... donut shack was open before.. Only the donuts matter really. Let’s wait to see if the donuts are any good and if there’s the selection the original owners used to sell.

Literally my favorite place for donuts. The Strawberry Shortcake donut is TO DIE FOR. I also always come here for late night donut cravings because a 24/7 Donut place is the greatest idea ever! Pro tip: If you don't drink dairy milk, go down the street to Harris Teeter for alternative milk options (they're 24/7 too!). The prices are unbeatable for the amount you receive. It's cash only but there's an ATM here as well. 10/10 5/5 Perfect score!

My old review seems to have disappeared, and Google Maps keeps suggesting I review this place again. So here it is:Last I visited was 6+ months ago. They were then and for many years prior the best donuts ever! You had to be sure to bring cash or expect to use their ATM. I always loved getting donuts form here, and would sometimes go many miles out of my way just to get them from Donut Shack.

My family and I have been customers of donut shack for over 20 years this was the 1st time coming in since new ownership and it will be the last they used to be $9 A dozen Now they're 14 I am very upset this is what happens when people sell out and their kids don't wanna take over a perfectly good business going down a drain. PS half the reviews are fake. And they fired all of there old employees.

Just left the grand reopening.....GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! Friendly staff, clean facility, and excellent maple donut and coffee. Will most certainly be returning. Welcome back, Donut Shack!!!!

My husband and I came in during their Donut Happy Hour from 3pm to 6 pm. We enjoyed two medium coffees for free and are a couple of donuts from our dozen. Donuts were awesome as usual! Coffee was hot and fresh too.

Was excited that the donut shack had reopened, but disgusted to find a sign hanging on the door that they were out of donuts! REALLY, they have not been open a full week yet. Heres a thought, take down the open 24 hours sig .

They didn't have many donuts on the shelves when I stopped by, and our family favorites were gone. They had another run on donuts.So I purchased a couple Bavarian cream and also some chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. The Bavarian cream donuts were plump and creamy, and so delish, and sprinkled with sugar crystals instead of powdered sugar, yum! The chocolate frosted was a dream of rich chocolate frosting flowing through the donut hole and very satisfying. So very good! We cant wait to go back and try some more! Way to go, Donut Shack owners and staff. Thanks for stepping up and making the Shack the best donut shop ever!
